As a PR and marketing professional working in the architecture, engineering, construction (AEC) and property sectors amid the doom and gloom of the current recession, the opportunity to network (cry into beer?) with fellow practitioners and journalists is too good to miss.
I will be at the next meeting of the CIPR’s Construction and Property Special Interest Group, CAPSIG, taking place at London’s Building Centre on Thursday 26 March at 6pm. There is some formal business to negotiate but after that it promises to be a lively discussion of the impact of the recession. The title: PR in a cold climate – how good PR adds value to the UK construction and property industries gives a flavour of the event, and I will be part of the Question Time panel, along with Ross Sturley (Chart Lane), Brian Green (Brickonomics), Geoff Wilkinson (formerly MD of Butler & Young), and ‘others’. Sounds good (book here if you’re interested).
