Social Media @HOK

I wrote about international architectural design consultancy HOK and its integrated approach to social media in March 2009 (Life at HOK) and subsequently published a guest post from Jon Gilmore. HOK’s coherent approach to using Web 2.0 has since been a regular feature of my talks to construction audiences about social media, and I was delighted to see that HOK’s chief information officer Ken Young had been invited to talk at April’s KA Connect conference in San Francisco. KA‘s Chris Parsons (who made my tech blog ExtranetEvolution his ‘blog of the week’ in August 2009) recently posted all the videos from that event online, and – among a lot of other great content – Ken’s HOK contribution is well worth viewing.

The construction industry-oriented KA-Connect blog also features a lot of interesting content including guest posts on social media – for example, Nancy Kleppel’s Social Media Experiment and Amanda Walter on Fueling Social Media through Internal Communications.
